Saint Mary’s Church (Culture Monument) dating back to the XIV century, is a religious monument that is prominent for the iconography and the multi-coloured frescoes of different saints and for having cultural heritage values. Inscriptions on the church date back to the year 1345.In the upper part of this island, reachable form the north-eastern area, have been found the ruins of the summer villa of Tsar Samoil belonging to the X-XI century, massive graveyards and many archeological findings which are a testimony of the history and culture of the area of Prespa.
